Ranakpur travel guide

Ranakpur, popularly famous as the 'temple town of Rajasthan. Ranakpur village is located in Desuri tehsil near Sadri town in Pali district of Rajasthan. Ranakpur is located between Jodhpur and Udaipur. The nearby railway station to Ranakpur is Falna railway station. In Pali, Ranakpur is most famous place to visit. It is easily accessed by road from Udaipur. Ranakpur is known for its marble Jain temple and sun temple is also there which is managed by the Udaipur royal family trust.

How to reach Ranakpur:
By Air:
There are no regular flights from other major cities of the country to Ranakpur. The nearest airport is Dabok Airport of Udaipur, Rajasthan which is 68km away and Jodhpur airport, Jodhpur, Rajasthan which is 170km away to from Ranakpur.

By Rail:
Ranakpur don’t have any railway staion. The nearest metro station to Ranakpur is Khimel, Rajasthan.

By Bus:
Instead of Ranakpur you can a get a bus to Falna on regular basis.

1. Sun Temple:


The sun temple also know by the name of Surya Narayan Temple which is dedicated to Lord Sun. Sun Temple is quite popular among tourists visiting to Ranakpur.

2. Sadri:
Sadri is the popular pilgrimage centre of Jain Community. Travellers Coming to Ranakpur often visit to sadri.

Another attractions of the place is Muchhal Mahavir Temple, it is dedicated to Hindu Lord Shiva. It is at a distance of 5km from Ghanerao in Kumbhalgarh Sanctuary.

The Gajanand Temple and the Muchhal Mahavir temple are most famous among the 11 Jain temples in the region.
